Gatsby Benchmark 8 is the one benchmark that requires a qualified Career Adviser and CareerWave employs a large team of them. This means that we are a reliable and stable solution for schools, sixth forms, colleges and other education providers. As an established career guidance company of over 10 years, we have an outstanding reputation for delivering high quality, impactful Personal Guidance meetings

What we do

  • In person, 1:1 Personal Guidance meetings
  • 95% of our schools meet the Career Development Institute’s recommended minimum of 45 minutes per meeting
  • We strongly recommend this minimum duration so in-depth career conversations can take place
  • We adopt the definition of career as a journey through learning, work and life
  • Our highly skilled career advisers enthusiastically embrace a range of creative approaches to engage the individual
  • Concise and focused action plans are provided to the Careers Leader and student (only with informed consent from the young person)
  • Groupwork supports our Personal Guidance meetings e.g., we offer sessions including ‘Managing Transitions for SEND Students’ and “Supporting Apprenticeship Applications’
